1. Stuttgart

We actually went to Stuttgart on an Anastacia concert. So on our first day we went to see the famous Stuttgart Public Library (free). It is famous for its shape and white colour. For some, the white colour can seem a little bit sterile, but the height and the shape really leaves you speechless. Visit if you like taking photos and if you just want to see something different.

Next thing we went to the Anastacia concert, but there are more things to do. Choose from the Porsche museum or botanic garden, Staatsgalerie Stuttgart and Schlossplatz are also two of the most famous spots.

As the next stop we chose Mercedes Benz Museum. It is a really nice museum that takes you at least 2 hours of your time. The inside is so nicely made, it is full of interesting facts and you can also go on an old Mercedes bus.

Food

In Stuttgart you can find lots of bars and breakfast bars and everything seems so good. Now we chose Herbert’z Espresso Bar. Everything was delicious, the coffee was really nice. Highly recommend.

Is stuttgart worth visiting? I would say yes. I found it really calm with nice city centre where you can find a lot of bars to enjoy your evening. If you are in for a day trip you can definitely visit Stuttgart in one day. Eat well as you have a 2 hour car ride to Strasbourg.

2. Strasbourg

So what are the things to do in Strasbourg in one day?

One of the most famous (free) spots is certainly La Petite France. Walk around the center and take some photos. In the city centre you can find a lot of wine stores. Now we went to Oenosphere. The staff seemed knowledgeable about the wines they are offering. We bought a riesling 2021 – it’s waiting for a special occasion in the home canteen. At the arrival they had a big group that had a tasting going on. Don’t make the mistake we made – make a reservation and enjoy a tasting while here!

The second popular sight in Strasbourg is definitely Notre-Dame. You can also climb the stairs to get at the almost top of the building. Yes, you have to pay 8€ to sweat. You can again enjoy the view and take some photos of the city.

Another thing we just couldn’t miss is the Cave Historique des Hospices de Strasbourg. This is a cellar positioned under the hospital. Different winemakers from the region keep wine in these old barrels, after the wine is made, they take their wine but leave a percentage to the hospital. In other words, a part of sales, go to the hospital. The prices are actually really low, so you can definitely find something for everyone.

Food

Ok, we are in France. Everything just seems and look delicious. While searching for the perfect lunch I was undecided between two. At the end I went with La Cuiller a Pot. I can proudly say I ate the best plate of my life here. It was a combination of pork and capesante. Sadly the first plate was so good, that the main just didn’t go up to the standard. Vegetables and meat. Also the ice cream at the end was nothing special. A lunch of ups and downs. The waitress helped us choose the wine, we also could taste it before and it was really nice.

In Strasbourg also don’t forget to visit a bakery, try some macarons, french loaf and other baked food.

These are ideas of what to see in one day in Strasbourg, I also made a tiktok with video content from Strasbourg, you can see here: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGe6v1DP2/. Now we go to Switzerland.

3. Rhine Falls Schaffhausen

So Rhine Falls Schaffhausen count as the biggest waterfalls in Europe, situated in Switzerland.

I made a reservation on the Internet before going there, see the site here: https://rheinfall.ch/en/. You have a few options of boat rides and also other experiences to choose from. We chose the yellow line, where you have the options to go in the middle of the waterfall. You can buy tickets on this link: https://rhyfall-maendli.ch/en/tickets/.

I invite you to check this tiktok I made: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGe6HtscV/

Please, see this article about the 3 day Switzerland roadtrip https://valerijaklinec.com/switzerland-road-trip-in-3-days/. If you can add 1 or 2 days to your trip I highly recommend seeing this 3 places. Rhine Falls are 2.5h hours from Lauterbrunnen, one of the most famous european sights, less then 2 hours from Fronalpstock and 40 minutes from Zurich.

Don’t forget: the prices in Switzerland are quite high: we payed 5€ for a half liter water. Have some snacks with you if you are not willing to pay high prices. Also make sure you pay for service and Internet in Switzerland. Last but not least, for taking highways in Switzerland, you have to buy the yearly ticket (40€).

4. Innsbruck

And last but not least in this Best 4 day Europe trip we have: Innsbruck. Here we have to take into consideration it is only a quick trip. Now Innsbruck really offers a lot, let’s say the top 3 sights are Swarovski Kristallwelten – yes, Swarovski brand comes from Tirol, Ambras castle and Bergisel Ski jump.

We only had time to go for a walk and we also took the cable car. You can find the prices and tickets here https://nordkette.com/en/ticketshop.html. We had a long drive home, so we concluded our trip here, but definitely take a look at the 51€ offer.

So let’s also conclude this Best 4 day Europe trip article here.
