From 10. 7. to 12. 7. we stayed at Hotel Plesnik in Logar Valley. It is a 4 star rated hotel and was also nominated the best boutique hotel in the world by Luxury Travel Guide. The names derives from the second name of the family that runs the hotel.
On Friday we came at around 17 o’clock, after visiting Velika Planina (one of the most popular sights in this region these days). You can read more about this here.
Parking
The hotel has its own free parking.
Day 1
We went to the room, picked our bathing robes and went straight to the pool. We enjoyed the most beautiful view while swimming and tanning on the deck chair.
The outdoor biological pool is chlorine-free and is cleaned by plants (you also swim with 3 small fish).

Then we went inside, where we found a jacuzzi and comfortable loungers around a nice “fire”.

Our room had a view on Waterfall Palenk (if you are on the other side, you can enjoy the view on Alps. On Saturday we had rain, so the waterfall had a really strong current that we could hear into the room (in a nice way).

Day 2
On Saturday we started our day at the pool. Again we went inside, but this time we enjoyed 15min in sauna. They offer different types of sauna: steam, eco, finnish. After that, we went back to the room with loungers and enjoyed some tea. After that, we ate some soup and salad, which are included in the price of dinner. In the afternoon heavy rain started, so we went out and enjoyed some views in the car. We stopped at Okrepčevalnica Zadružnik.
At 20.30 I indulged in a Abhyangam massage, which was a little pricy but nice. You can find a quite wide offer of different massages for different prices and time duration (whole body, only back, face …)
Hotel Plesnik also offers Yoga and different Ayurveda packages.
Food
On Friday in the evening we enjoyed a really nice four course dinner for 25€/person. I have to mention that they also offer vegan and ayurveda diet food. You can choose a cold or warm appetizer, soup, one of three main dishes (if you don’t like them you have another 3 to choose from), and a dessert. We really really enjoyed cottage cheese. The best we’ve ever eaten.

They also have a nice wine list to choose from and the prices are good.

Price
This hotel has 4 stars and offers a spectacular view with a nice natural pool, really good food and nice employees. I would say that the price is reasonably higher.
Disadvantages
To be honest, the only downside were the pillows in the room. So if you find this hotel interesting and you want to visit the Logar Valley, I would totally recommend it. Sadly because of the rain, I can’t tell you much about the surroundings, but usually people visit this valley to hike. You can’t really tell this is a disvantage, but if rain surprises you while you are here, there is really not much to do. The hotel is situated in the middle of… well, nature.
